Byumba shoemaking school
The Byumba Diocesan Center to help young people learn a job has become a vocational school recognized at government level. To integrate the three courses already operating for some years (hairdressing, cutting and sewing and basket making), we were asked to contribute to the creation of an annual shoemaking course. Come Noi has decided to finance the laboratory for leather processing and the repair of footwear, handbags and belts, with the aim of allowing students to quickly achieve managerial and financial autonomy. RWANDA School canteen at Gituza
The project was started in 2017, when we accepted the request of the parish priest of Gituza to contribute to the creation of a school canteen for 120 nursery and primary school pupils. Malnourished children, orphans or from poor families. It provides for a gradual involvement of the population, in order to bring the canteen to self-sufficiency, through the cultivation of vegetables, and the breeding of animals by the work of the local people.
