The CET (Centro Educaçao e Trabalho) of Cachoeira de Pajeù is one of the most important educational projects activated by Come Noi in Brazil. ITALY Cultural integration –“Turin my home town” project

Women can bring their preschoolers, attended by a baby-sitting service during lessons. The initiative is unique in Italy for the high participation of Arab-Islamic women and involves more than 250 women and 100 children every year. Somone Library – educational and cultural activities
The educational and cultural activities are carried out in courses organized at the library of Ngarapau Somone, located in a high school with more than 1000 students, which is still the operational center of our activities, under the control of the untiring and professional Ibou Diouf. The courses range from malaria prevention and personal hygiene to Islam-Christianity dialogue. Every year a program of courses is open to students and to the entire population. For years the activity of building water wells has continued, initially with the support of the non-profit organization Un puit pour la vie and subsequently with the One Love association. The objective is to improve the quality of life in many villages and involve local communities in the management, maintenance and control of water resources. In Senegal, water scarcity is still a cause of infant mortality and gastrointestinal diseases, and creates difficulties for agricultural cultivation and all domestic uses. Cultivation of vegetables at a secondary school
The project involves the cultivation of vegetables in the area of a secondary school attended by about 150 students. The vegetable garden measures 25 by 15 meters, is located near the school, fenced and and has easy access to water. The first crop has been sold and the income used for administration expenses of the small school. The garden is managed by the students, looked aftert by a teacher and with clear educational aims: it is very important that children learn how to cultivate the land. RWANDA School canteen at Gituza
The project was started in 2017, when we accepted the request of the parish priest of Gituza to contribute to the creation of a school canteen for 120 nursery and primary school pupils. Malnourished children, orphans or from poor families. It provides for a gradual involvement of the population, in order to bring the canteen to self-sufficiency, through the cultivation of vegetables, and the breeding of animals by the work of the local people.
